In Italy, from 1974 to 1982, educational programs called '150 hours' courses were organized. Initially intended for factory employees and agricultural workers, they were later offered to the elderly and housewives as well. The courses placed particular emphasis on examining knowledge and power as psychological structures that control and determine subjectivity. "Scuola Senza Fine" began as a pedagogical experiment within the framework of the classes given to a group of housewives, thanks to the collaboration of the filmmaker, the students and their teacher Lea Melandri.
